Finding Balance

Work / Life Balance

Last night was the first time in three years that I went golfing.  My cousin and I had been talking about going for a while and we finally made the time.  I have never been a huge golf fan but I love being outdoors and have always been fascinated by how difficult it is to hit the little ball straight not to mention getting it in the hole.

By the third hole I started to wonder why I don’t do this more often.  By the ninth hole I realized that there is no golf in heaven, no way do they allow this much swearing up there.

When I was back at home my youngest daughter said “You went golfing?!”.  It was more a puzzled statement than a question.  “Are you any good?”  “Not really.”  “Oh, I didn’t think you would be.”  “I bet I could beat you.”  “I bet you can’t do a round off into a flip flop.”

When at work, work your butt off.  When at play, enjoy yourself and those around you.  If you want balance have an 11-year-old daughter.
